Last week the new Piney Woods baseball team had a ribbon cutting at the field in White Oak, Texas. Here is a link recapping the event:

Yesterday the new Mid America League team to play in Abilene Texas (Walt Driggers Field) announced the final name chosen from its name the team promotion. The team will be named the Abilene Flying Bison, although on certain games it will play as the Abilene Blue Socks.
